Doctor David Tarrab, DDS
Dr. Tarrab has been practicing Pediatric Dentistry in Monmouth County since 1989. His philosophy is to provide the best possible dental care to his patients in a comfortable and non-threatening way. All of his patients are treated with the utmost respect, regardless of age or special needs.
Dr. Tarrab graduated from NYU College of Dentistry in 1987. He was rewarded with membership in OKU, a dental honor society, to which an invitation is given to the top students in their class. Dr. Tarrab then completed his Pediatric Specialty Residency training at St Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Philadelphia in 1989. For the past 22 years Dr. Tarrab has been practicing in Monmouth County.
As Clinical Associate Professor at NYU College of Dentistry, Dr. Tarrab is Director of the Pediatric Dentistry Honors Program. He is very involved in training future Pediatric Dentists. This also keeps Dr. Tarrab on the “cutting edge” of dental innovations. Thus, providing your child with the most up-to–date of treatment procedures.

Dr. Tarrab is married and has one grown son. He lives in Holmdel.
Dr. Jeffrey S. Karlin
Orthodontist
Dr. Karlin has been in the private practice of orthodontics for ten years, having provided the highest quality care to patients in both New York and New Jersey. Dr. Karlin’s academic credentials include an undergraduate degree in biology from Cornell University, from which he graduated in the top one percent of his class. In addition, Dr. Karlin attended the New York University College of Dentistry on a full academic scholarship, from which he graduated as valedictorian and obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He continued his postgraduate education at the New York University College of Dentistry and was awarded a certificate in orthodontics.
Dr. Karlin is a board-certified specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, a distinction held by only a small percentage of all practicing orthodontists today. He has the added honor of being a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics. He was recently named as one of the top orthodontists in the nation by the Consumer’s Research Council of America. In addition, he was featured in the July 2009 issue of New Jersey Monthly Magazine as one of New Jersey’s top orthodontists, as selected by his colleagues in the dental profession. He is also an active member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Karlin is at the forefont of contemporary orthodontics, having been one of the first to be certified in removable appliance treatment modalities such as Invisalign. He was awarded the distinction of Invisalign Premier Provider, putting him in the top 5% of all Invisalign practitioners in the nation. He has personally designed and developed revolutionary orthodontic appliances and holds a patent for magnetic orthodontic systems.
Dr. Karlin uses his academic, teaching, and clinical background in order to bring the latest and most advanced technologies to his patients in order to ensure that they receive the highest quality of orthodontic treatment in a comfortable and timely manner. Above all, he is extremely approachable, and he always makes time for both patients and parents in order to answer questions, address concerns, and provide guidance to ensure successful treatment outcomes.
